What Is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a treatment that injects pharmaceuticals, vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts into the skin. The goal of the treatment is to rejuvenate and tighten the skin as well as to remove excess fat. Mesotherapy helps with fat removal and body contouring and can even reverse hair loss and skin aging. This treatment will help you enhance your natural look.
List of Commonly Treated Skin Problems
Mesotherapy can address the following skin conditions:
- Pigmentation
- Wrinkles
- Lines
- Drooping or Loose Skin
- Stretch Marks
- Fat Stores and Cellulitis
Treatment Process
Knowing what you can do to prepare for your treatment lessens the non-threatening side effects that may occur post-treatment. Here are the things you should avoid as preparation:
- Taking blood-thinning OTC medications, like Aspirin and Ibuprofen.
- Consuming alcoholic beverages a day before the scheduled appointment.
- Undergoing wax or other hair removal procedures.
- Using skincare topical products.
Also, be sure to drink lots of water and eat a hearty meal right before the procedure.
Downtime and Recovery
Mesotherapy is minimally invasive, so minimal downtime is usually needed after each treatment. Most individuals can resume their everyday activities with no discomfort. However, we usually recommend avoiding strenuous exercise within 24 hours post-treatment. Minor pain, swelling, or bruises may be associated with the treatment at the injection sites, but they will resolve in 1 to 7 days.
